From basic willow lanterns to large-scale procession pieces, we are able to provide or teach themed willow-works, either as lanterns or using opaque papier-mache. Natural willow works without a 'skin' can also be considered for outdoor settings.Charlie's archer

Though there is no age limit for this craft as a workshop, it is essential that young children have parent/guardian supervision - we have found that as it is time-consuming, very young children often lose interest, or become more interested in the magic of watery glue, and it is usually the parent who ends up making the lantern. It requires patience, and parents will need to keep a young child's interest by getting them involved in a fun way. For this reason, it is reccomended for children over 8 years old.

We can also provide mixed or adult workshops - the level of complexity and size is something that adults can really get their hands into to. But remember that large sculptures take more time, and one session may not be enough to complete a piece.
